Christy Cone MD

Christy L. Cone, MD grew up in rural South Carolina before attending the Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University where she graduated summa cum laude and was named the outstanding senior in the college. She received her medical degree from The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed her residency at the Carilion Health System in Roanoke, VA.

Richard S. Schaffer, Jr., MD is originally from Houston, TX. He graduated from The Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA with highest distinction. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Schaffer then went on to complete his residency in Roanoke, VA at the Carilion Health System, where he served as Chief Resident of education his final year.
